+ How do I get started on a web site?
First of all have an idea of what you want to do with your web site. it all starts with a look and feel of who you are or what your company wants to represent to others. Then it is a matter of creating functions and content.
If you have an idea and are not sure what is available out there, simply contact us and we can help you in deciding what your needs are and what is affordable in your price range.
+ What is the process to get started?
First of all we would want to talk with you to get specific information. This information is collected and we get all understandings concrete on what your needs are we review this over in writing. Once we have an agreement from you then the initial payment must be made. Once payment is made we start collecting content for your site.
This can be done by saving money and submitting the written content and any graphic images you wish to be used on your site.
Or we can help you with professional services of content collection which would be included in your total quote.
Once we have an initial payment from you we will provide a mock up of your site. Any changes you have regarding that mock up we do at once.
Once the design is approved we continue the project until it is finished.
The contract is done electronically and once first payment is made you are in an agreed contract with Cwebart till completion of project.
+ How long will my project take?
Depending on what is needed in your project we will give you an estimated time of your project being completed.
During this time, approvals will be needed in a timely manner and all content needed to complete your project on time.
If delays are met by not having content in a timely manner than payment is due within 7 days of the estimated finish time.
+ Do I own my web site?
Absolutely. Once final payment is made all sales are final and you own the rights to the development and design. All user names and password for any accounts , like hosting, domains, etc we create in your personal or business name are then transfered over to you.
+ Any monthly fees on a web site?
Absolutely not. If you have us create a web site then there are no monthly fees unless you need updates by us on a regular monthly basis and then you can ask us about retainer fees to save you money.
+ Do you require a Deposit?
Payment terms are usually half payment up front and any additional module fees or scripts, photos etc that we have to purchase to begin your project.
Depending on the type of porject we offer a payment schedule.
Graphic Designs are due up front
Web Development in in a structure of 50 - 30 - 20
Other payment arrangements can be made depending on the development.
Any additional changes made during a project require payment due before starting.
+ Do you accept Credit Cards?
We accept all major credit cards through a secured GPal or AlertPay account. You do not have to have a GPal or an AlertPay account to pay, but you will have to register with an email address. All payments are final.
+ Do you accept Checks?
We do accept check payments but allow personal or business checks to be cleared through a financial institution before beginning any project.
On final payment, this must be cleared before web design project is released. All sales are final when final project is made.
+ When are payments due?
First installment of a web development project is due before any work can begin. The last payment is due when the project is complete and before web design can be released.
UPDATE 1-28-10
For smaller projects we require a 50% up front payment for design and layout and 50% content addition. Payment installments are not available. usually it will be %50 up front and then %30 for content development and %20 to complete the project and release. We no longer do 50% up front and 50% when completed.
+ What are your hourly rates?
Depending on what needs to be done on a web site, our typical hourly rate is $25 per hour unless there is additional programming or design elements that would have to be revised. This will be quoted seperately.
It is advised then to save you money to go by a project by project based quote.
+ Domain Purchasing
Buying a domain can easily be done thorugh a registar like godaddy as we recommend. You can simply search for a domain name (s) and register them online. Domain purchases run annually to several years at a time. If you are unsure or need help with registering a domain and what would be best, simply contact us and we will be more than happy to help you.
+ Hosting Questions
We can set you up hosting accounts starting at $99 per year for most sites.
Hosting is purchased on a yearly basis.
Shared server hosting are basic hosting for small to medium personal or business packages.
Larger packages are available and dedicated hosting is available as well. Dedicated hosting is recommended for larger or corporate accounts. Please check with us for dedicated hosting rates.
+ What is a CMS web site?
CMS stands for content management system - web site development.
These are web site with dynamic web pages where you can enter and edit parts of your website from any remote browser, anywhere in the world where there is internet connection.
Manage content pages on your site, galleries, shopping carts, blogs, products, inventory or just about anything you can imagine. We have years of experience creating custom content management systems.
+ Do you recommend a CMS?
We recommend a content management system if your needs on your website are some of the following:
Updating content at least on a monthly basis
Updating and changing content on a regular basis like in image galleries, news, articles, etc.
Keeping Data where it can be viewed in a browser.
You have staff or someone who would like to make regular changes to your website without the fees of a web developer doing it.
You have documents that change on a regular basis
You can content as in properties that need to be changed on a regular basis.
You have information to change and share on a site that are related to each other : example, property, picture, plat map documention, etc.
If you can work microsoft WORD - you can use a CMS - each one it set up and designed according to a customers needs.
+ What is Search Engine Optimization?
All web pages should be optimized. This will enable your site to gain a high search engine ranking, it revolves around the meta tags on your web pages, a web page that isnt optimized wont appear in the search engines to any great degree.
This includes all meta tags, titles, descriptions, keywords and robot tags on pages of your site.
All picture and image tags.
Registration to Google, Dmoz and other search engine sites.
Appropriate sitemaps, registrations etc that are required of good search engine rankings.
+ Can you make regular changes to my site if needed?
Yes we can.
Depending on what you need we can either work out a retainer agreement or do them as you need them by a project or hourly rate.

Yes absolutely. We can make your web site moble now so that cell phone carriers can read your web site content through their browsers. However some pages will not display like those requiring secured information input.
Moble web site format is different than regular web site format and requires special format for most browsers for easy reading and information.
